Cristiana Buscarini, Marco Eugenio Di Giandomenico, Emanuele Isidori e Pasquale Moliterni will partecipate as lecturers.
The purpose of the meeting at the University of Rome Foro Italico is to boost a debate on the concept of truth and method in a lay perspective, privileging the perspective of the life sciences about sport, and open to intercultural and inter-religious dialogue.
Based on the concept of truth analysed as an act of revelation of being human and on the concept of method analysed as road and existential path, to solve a problem, you will reflect on the meaning and benefits of science for humanity. It will point out the contribution that the life sciences of sport can offer to the understanding of science. Being one of the most representative phenomena of our time, sport offers an extraordinary opportunity to the meditation for the human beings in the contemporary world, stimulating the awareness about the "truth" of human life.
Many are the truths that sport offers to contemporary man and woman and that can be captured through a specific path of critical meditation. Among these truths that the sport has always been "revealing" to mankind you have, for example, the sense of limits, but at the same time also the investigation about the overcoming of human limitations; the search for the absolute; the sense of the joy for life; the respect for otherness; the value of the body.
Based on a reflection about these truths , the lecturers partecipating to the meeting, after the submission of one or more subjects according to their own research interests, will begin discussions with the participants present at the meeting. The purpose of the discussion is to stimulate meditation on the emerging themes in an existential perspective and in connection with the issues of human life.
